Role Overview: Full-time Flex Houseparents

Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to groups of approximately 8–13 students. This rewarding role helps create a structured, family-like environment that nurtures students' academic, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning recreational and developmental events
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing household budgeting and reporting

Work Schedule & Transition

Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with a specific group of students in their own home.

• Salary: $44,768 per person (approximate total compensation of $168,000 per couple, including free housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more) 💰

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• This is a two-person role for married couples, legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses must be 27 or older
• Maximum of three dependent children allowed in the student home
• Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
• Pet restrictions: only fish and one approved breed dog
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with the ability to become certified to drive student vans
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism as role models for students
