Role Overview: Full-time Flex Houseparents
Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to groups of approximately 8–13 students. This rewarding role helps create a structured, family-like environment that nurtures students' academic, emotional, and social development.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
- Driving students to activities and planning recreational and developmental events
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing household budgeting and reporting
Work Schedule & Transition
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with a specific group of students in their own home.

- Salary: $44,768 per person (approximate total compensation of $168,000 per couple, including free housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more) 💰

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for married couples, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be 27 or older
- Maximum of three dependent children allowed in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet restrictions: only fish and one approved breed dog
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with the ability to become certified to drive student vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism as role models for students
