🌐 Location & Schedule
- Location: Hempstead/Hicksville, NY (Split between both locations)
- Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours/week, Monday - Friday
- Status: Non-Exempt
- Salary Range: $30-35/hour
The Opportunity
The Bilingual Clinician will provide direct behavioral health treatment services to individuals across the lifespan, utilizing individual, family, and group sessions either in-office or within the community. You will engage with clients receiving services from Family & Children's Association CCBHC — a certified community behavioral health center — to support their mental health needs.
Responsibilities 📝
- Provide therapy sessions: Individual, family, and group therapy, along with other prescribed treatments, adhering to agency and regulatory standards.
- Manage caseload: Maintain required productivity levels and handle assigned cases effectively.
- Conduct assessments: Perform initial intake and comprehensive evaluations.
- Develop treatment plans: Create, implement, and monitor client treatment strategies, collaborating with the clinical team.
- Coordinate care: Work with external providers to ensure client progress and continuity of services.
- Engage with external agencies: Communicate regularly with courts, probation, parole, and other relevant entities to support client outcomes.
- Participate as a team member: Attend case conferences, team meetings, and in-service trainings.
- Maintain records: Keep accurate, up-to-date client case files in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and submit reports and correspondence timely, meeting agency and regulatory deadlines.
- Ensure confidentiality: Comply with HIPAA, OASAS, and OMH regulations regarding client privacy.
- Additional tasks: Perform other assigned duties to support program operations.
Qualifications ✅
- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- QHP credential required: LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAT; candidates eligible for a limited permit (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
- Minimum 1 year of experience providing individual and group counseling for clients with substance abuse or mental health challenges (including internships).
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
