Objective

Caregivers work independently within client homes or healthcare facilities, providing personal care to patients. They often travel to clients’ homes to assist with basic domestic tasks like cleaning, activities of daily living (such as bathing), and offer companionship and emotional support.

Job Description

• Provide clients with companionship, socialization, and mental stimulation 😊
• Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc. 🚗
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene 🧼
• Support with transfers & ambulation
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare and cook meals 🍽️

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience with dementia care, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease
• Empathy and the ability to care for the client’s social, emotional, physical, and mental needs ❤️
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations 🚑
• Physical ability to reach with hands and arms ✋
• Capable of lifting or pulling up to 50 pounds
• Occasional pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and ability to bend/kneel to complete activities
• Strong physical stamina and strength 💪

Salary Range

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

License & Certifications

• Current HCA (preferred)
• CPR Certification ✅
