Position: Assistant Clubhouse Director

Reporting to: Clubhouse Program Director (Lower East Side)

The Assistant Clubhouse Director plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Clubhouse services, collaborating with staff and members to foster a supportive, efficient environment. This position involves supervising staff, supporting employment efforts, and embodying the Clubhouse philosophy to promote recovery and social justice. 🚀

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote equity in staff and member activities to encourage inclusive participation.
  • Develop and promote employment and education opportunities within the community.
  • Participate actively in the daily operations of the work order day in the unit.
  • Implement and uphold standards for Clubhouse International accreditation.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff, practicum students, and volunteers.
  • Support staff and team leaders in facilitating clubhouse units effectively.
  • Support members in achieving employment goals through resume development, interview prep, and job searches.
  • Conduct outreach to community partners to recruit members and raise program visibility.
  • Collaborate on strategies for member engagement, retention, and participation in clubhouse activities.
  • Represent NYDIS at community events and partnerships.
  • Manage Transitional Employment placements and relationships with employers.
  • Assist in developing reports and data with the Program Director.

Qualifications

  • Dedication to the mission and values of NYDIS 💙
  • Strong commitment to DEIB and cultural competency in Asian & Latino communities
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Significant experience in mental health program management and administration preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices, regulations, and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with Clubhouse International standards preferred
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional public speaking, writing, and reporting abilities
  • Proven experience in budget management and fundraising
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Flexible schedule to meet program needs
  • Bilingual proficiency required (Cantonese, Mandarin, Taishanese, or Spanish preferred)

Salary & Benefits

The salary range is $80,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits. 💼✨
