Job Description 📝

The Banking Associate plays a vital role in delivering TD’s brand promise by accurately completing banking transactions and providing advice on financial products and services to help customers achieve their goals.

Depth & Scope 🔍

  • Process customer transactions, open accounts, and educate customers on banking products
  • Build trust through educational content, consulting, and proactive recommendations
  • Utilize TD's systems to engage with customers, deepening relationships through advice and guidance
  • Understand customer needs to promote suitable products and refer to specialists
  • Handle various banking transactions on the teller line and platform
  • Service customers with deposit accounts, digital banking issues, debit/credit cards, and more
  • Engage customers through outreach, appointments, and lead management activities

Education & Experience 🎓

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience (volunteering, education, military experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Teller experience preferred
  • Completion of Teller and platform training upon hire
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Notary License preferred

Customer Accountabilities 🤝

  • Deliver legendary customer service and promote TD products
  • Establish and nurture relationships by actively listening and offering solutions
  • Manage wait times and facilitate customer appointments
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries
  • Support the bank’s customer service strategy and drive referrals
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Complete all required training and adhere to audit and regulatory standards
  • Follow the TD Code of Conduct consistently

Shareholder Accountabilities 🏦

  • Process operational activities in compliance with regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act)
  • Accurately handle transactions such as account openings/closings, deposits, and withdrawals
  • Maintain cash drawer security and follow authentication protocols
  • Perform tasks adhering to open/close procedures and policies
