🏥 Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure quality care: Provide respectful and professional medical services to all patients.
• Medical service planning: Participate in the development, planning, and organization of medical services.
• Policy review: Develop and review medical policies related to patient care.
• Patient examinations: Conduct physical exams upon admission and as needed thereafter.
• Care and staff planning: Engage in comprehensive care planning, discharge procedures, and staff development by offering ongoing medical training.
• Regulatory preparation: Assist in preparing for regulatory agency site visits.
• Regulatory compliance: Stay informed about federal, state, and city regulations, ensuring all clinical aspects are compliant.
• Medication management: Order, evaluate, adjust, and terminate medications responsibly, discussing any changes directly with patients.

📝 Requirements

• NYS Licensure: Valid license to practice medicine in New York State.
• DEA Registration: Current registration in good standing.
• Continuing Medical Education (CME): Up-to-date with licensure renewal requirements.
• Regulatory and clinical knowledge: Solid understanding of health center licensing, operations, legal/regulatory issues, policies, and clinical protocols within a managed care environment.
• Leadership experience: Proven experience in providing services and leading in diverse, multicultural settings.
• Cultural sensitivity: Awareness and sensitivity to the unique needs of diverse populations.
