Under the guidance of the PAS manager, the Associate Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients with on-site registration and arrival procedures for both scheduled and unscheduled visits. This role involves collecting accurate demographic and insurance information, as well as patient liability details at the time of service. The individual will also handle financial clearance functions on assigned accounts during registration and perform miscellaneous client service activities, including valuables collection and providing basic customer service. The representative greets and serves patients professionally, warmly, and respectfully to foster positive encounters.

🛠️ Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated some knowledge of revenue cycle structure.
- Familiarity with hospital information systems; proficient in computer and office equipment use.
- Ability to complete assigned functions efficiently.
- Skill in identifying and escalating registration and customer service issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer software programs and basic office equipment.
- Ten-key touch proficiency and typing speed of 30-40 WPM.
- Age-Related Competencies: Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, explain payor benefits, and manage situations requiring voice elevation or repetitive information with understanding.

- Familiarity with basic financial clearance functions.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
