Towson University's College of Liberal Arts is seeking a dedicated Assistant Teaching Professor in French to enrich our Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Qualifications 🎓
- PhD in French or a related field is required; ABD candidates will be considered.
- Near-native proficiency in French is required.
- Note: Towson University cannot sponsor visas for this position.
Responsibilities 📚
The successful candidate will:
- Teach four (4) first-year French courses per semester for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Assume minimal additional service responsibilities.
About the Department and Program 🏛️
The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (LLC) comprises 22 full-time faculty members, serving over 350 majors and minors. We offer courses in 11 languages, with majors including Foreign Languages (concentrations in French, French Secondary Education, Spanish, Spanish Secondary Education) and Deaf Studies. Additionally, minors are available in eight languages and Linguistics.
