Gates Hudson Is Hiring An Assistant Property Manager Bilingual

Gates Hudson is seeking a dedicated Assistant Property Manager to manage the operational, financial, and resident engagement functions within our multifamily community. This role collaborates closely with the Property Manager to uphold policies, ensure financial accuracy, oversee staff, and deliver an exceptional resident experience.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

🏢 Operations & Team Support

  • Assist with daily property operations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Supervise and train onsite staff as directed
  • Perform move-in and move-out inspections
  • Ensure consistent policy enforcement across the property

🤝 Resident Relations & Retention

  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident questions, concerns, and escalations
  • Review notices to vacate and implement retention strategies
  • Welcome prospective residents, conduct tours, and manage leasing paperwork as needed

💰 Financial Administration

  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and monitor expenses throughout the year
  • Process, approve, and submit invoices for payment
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash accounts
  • Track monthly financial variances and prepare related narratives

🔧 Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding scheduling, billing, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and performance
  • Ensure the use of approved vendors and adherence to budget guidelines

🛠️ Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned
  • Work on weekends as needed

🎯 What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent in bilingual communication / Spanish proficiency
  • Minimum of two or more years of experience in property management, leasing, or related multifamily housing roles
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, and multifamily regulations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Yardi, Nexus, or similar property management and accounting systems
  • Previous supervisory or training experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus
