About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate and culturally competent Administrative Clerk (Bilingual - Spanish or Vietnamese) to support our diverse college community. The ideal candidate will:
- Serve faculty, management, and students from varied ethnic, racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Support individuals with differing abilities, AB 540 students, DACA recipients, Foreign Residents, VACA participants, and Continuing Education students
- Promote self-awareness, communication, and understanding within the college community
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and equitable workplace culture
- Provide exceptional service and support to promote success and a positive campus environment
This role will empower students to reach their academic and career goals, while fostering a workplace where faculty and staff can thrive, innovate, and grow together.
Class Summary
Under direction, the Administrative Clerk performs complex and specialized clerical tasks that require detailed knowledge of department procedures, policies, and standards. The position involves:
- Supplying information based on facts and interpretations
- Initiating and completing challenging tasks independently
- Assuming responsibility for special projects
- Preparing related reports and assisting in research for special reports
- Potential leadership roles within projects and tasks
