Position Details
- Job Title: Adjunct Teaching – French and Italian – French Course Development and French Teaching for French 101–321
- Posting End Date: June 4, 2026
- Note: Last day to apply is Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 11:59 pm (MST)
- Position Start Date: June 22, 2026
- Required Degree: Master's Degree in Second Language Acquisition or a related field (must be completed by start date)
Experience & Qualifications
- Curriculum development experience for levels from Advanced-low to Novice French
- Proven knowledge of second-language teaching theory and best practices, including ACTFL guidelines
- Advanced-level language skills (ACTFL rating)
- Extensive university-level French teaching experience preferred
Duties & Expectations
- Collaborate with Course Coordinators and SI Supervisor to develop curriculum and materials for both classroom and online French courses (French 101–321)
- Observe and prepare course materials for additional courses
- Teach French courses at the 300-level or lower
- Develop and innovate course content and materials to enhance learning
