Position Details

  • Job Title: Adjunct Teaching – French and Italian – French Course Development and French Teaching for French 101–321
  • Posting End Date: June 4, 2026
  • Note: Last day to apply is Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 11:59 pm (MST)
  • Position Start Date: June 22, 2026
  • Required Degree: Master's Degree in Second Language Acquisition or a related field (must be completed by start date)

Experience & Qualifications

  • Curriculum development experience for levels from Advanced-low to Novice French
  • Proven knowledge of second-language teaching theory and best practices, including ACTFL guidelines
  • Advanced-level language skills (ACTFL rating)
  • Extensive university-level French teaching experience preferred

Duties & Expectations

  • Collaborate with Course Coordinators and SI Supervisor to develop curriculum and materials for both classroom and online French courses (French 101–321)
  • Observe and prepare course materials for additional courses
  • Teach French courses at the 300-level or lower
  • Develop and innovate course content and materials to enhance learning
