Job Overview

Position: Youth Healthcare Support Specialist (Bilingual Spanish)

Compensation: $28/hour 💵

Location: Bronx, NY 🗽

Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 🗓️

About TAG MedStaffing

We are hiring for our client in the Bronx to support adolescents through community-based services, including in-home visits, crisis intervention, and skill-building support. This role involves partnering with youth, treatment parents, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver trauma-informed, strength-based care aligned with ACS standards.

Responsibilities

• Youth & Foster Home Support: Conduct in-person home visits to support youth care, ADLs, life skills development, and behavior plan implementation.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely documentation such as progress notes, assessments, and behavior plans, following ACS requirements.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide direct crisis support and de-escalation, coordinating with supervisors and teams as needed.
• Behavioral Planning & Collaboration: Team up with youth, treatment parents, and caseworkers to develop, monitor, and adjust individualized behavior goals.
• Youth Development & Coordination: Support youth initiatives, including PYA activities, community referrals, and educational and recreational resource coordination.

Qualifications

• Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish required 🇺🇸🇪🇸
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field 🎓
• Experience: Prior work with children and adolescents necessary; foster care or child welfare experience strongly preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ACS standards, youth development frameworks, and trauma-informed care practices.
• Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport with youth and families, and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
