Job Title: World Language Teacher – Spanish, French, Chinese, or German

Salary Range: $51,380 – $85,500 per year. Salary credit may be awarded for applicable experience.

Position Purpose

The teacher plans, teaches, and facilitates engaging learning experiences for all students. They create a positive and inclusive learning environment, monitor academic progress, maintain records, and uphold discipline. Collaborating closely with students, parents, and staff, this role ensures classroom education meets the diverse needs of all learners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification: Valid NE Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsements in World Languages such as Spanish, French, Chinese, or other relevant languages.
  • Educational Philosophy: Demonstrates a belief that all students can and will learn.
  • Attendance & Communication: Excellent attendance record and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Instructional Knowledge: Understanding and application of best instructional practices.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Positive and professional interactions fostering human relationships.
  • Professional Experience: Documented successful classroom teaching and/or student teaching experience.
  • Ethics & Standards: Willingness and ability to adhere to the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the State Board of Education.
  • Collaboration & Growth: Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community, and a continuous commitment to professional development.
