Job Description

Guide students toward gaining essential knowledge and skills in the Italian language and culture.

Qualifications

• NYS Italian Certification: 7-12
• FLES Extension: A plus
• Fingerprinting Clearance: Required

Essential Duties (including but not limited to)

• Understanding of the NYS Learning Standards for World Languages (Modern Languages)
• Meet and teach assigned classes and caseload
• Maintain a positive and conducive classroom environment for learning
• Keep accurate records to track students’ progress
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress
• Utilize assessment tools to guide instruction
• Implement the district's educational philosophy, goals, and objectives through instruction and actions
• Perform any other duties as assigned
