Role Description
This is a full-time position that can be performed remotely or in a hybrid setting, depending on experience. The Workers Compensation Attorney will:
- Provide legal advice and research legal issues
- Negotiate settlements with clients and opposing parties
- Represent clients at hearings and trials before the NYS Workers Compensation Board
- Manage cases from start to finish, ensuring clients receive the compensation they deserve
Training is available for NYS-licensed attorneys with no prior workers' compensation experience, especially those working at our Mineola office. Compensation will be based on experience. All inquiries are kept confidential. 🔒
Qualifications
- Experience in NYS Workers Compensation Law
- Strong skills in providing legal advice
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating effectively with the team
- Admitted to practice law in the State of New York
- Prior experience in Workers Compensation Law is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided to qualified candidates
- Dedication to client service and vigorous advocacy
