Role Overview
The Welcome Coordinator at Oak Street Health plays a vital role in creating a warm, inclusive environment for our patients. As the face of the clinic, you will ensure smooth operations and a positive first impression. Your administrative support will empower our broader team to deliver unmatched patient care and foster a welcoming community.
Core Responsibilities
- 🤝 Welcome patients and guests with friendliness and professionalism
- 📝 Conduct visit check-ins and assist patients with forms
- 💰 Collect co-pays accurately
- 🖥️ Update patient information and modify records in our electronic medical record platform
- 🗓️ Schedule and reschedule appointments within the electronic records system
- 📞 Handle phone calls, take messages, and make outbound calls as instructed
- 📠 Manage faxes via the electronic fax platform
- 🧹 Maintain the cleanliness of Welcome and Community Room areas
- 🚗 Floats to other centers within the region may be required occasionally
- 🔧 Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 🔹 Strong computer skills, including basic knowledge of Google Suite
- 🔹 Professional phone etiquette
- 🔹 Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by our community members (where necessary)
- 🔹 US work authorization
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- 🔸 Experience in a customer service setting
- 🔸 Some college education

Job Details
Expected Weekly Hours: 40
Employment Type: Full time
Pay Range: $17.00 - $31.30 per hour
This range represents the base hourly or annual salary, with actual offers depending on experience, education, and location. The role may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or incentive programs in addition to the base pay.
