Location: Moorestown, NJ area | Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday OR Sunday-Thursday | 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
(Must be available to work later during busy periods)
Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a key role in driving departmental performance by setting clear expectations and empowering team members with the tools, training, and guidance needed to surpass operational targets. This position requires leadership during the 2nd shift, including scheduled weekend work and flexibility for extra hours or days based on business needs. 🔑
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse operations: Oversee cleaning, picking, packing, repairing, and processing inventory for shipments and returns, in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Staff coordination: Assign schedules, prioritize tasks, track workflows, and communicate results via shift production reports.
- Maintain service quality: Ensure high standards by following company practices and protocols.
- Promote safety and organization: Train employees on equipment use, enforce safety procedures, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Operational issue resolution: Identify challenges, suggest strategies, and motivate staff to meet departmental goals.
- Meet deadlines: Ensure all tasks are completed timely using Matrix/Units of Measure to monitor progress.
- Inventory auditing: Oversee audits for all inventory transactions depending on the department.
- Budget management: Control labor hours to stay within departmental budget guidelines.
- Team development: Coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable, including reviewing employee PTO requests.
- Staff recruitment and training: Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
- Attendance tracking: Maintain accurate records via ADP systems.
- Work environment: Foster a respectful, morale-boosting workplace.
- Safety compliance: Uphold all environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping protocols and maintain a departmental safety focus.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Business or a related field is required; Bachelor's in Logistics, Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline is preferred.
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is required.
- 5+ years of distribution or warehouse operations experience is a plus.
