Connecticut College Is Hiring A Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor
The French and Francophone Department at Connecticut College is seeking a full-time Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor in French and Francophone language, literature, and culture, with a focus on fostering diversity and scholarly engagement.
Position Overview
- Type: Full-time, Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor
- Field: French and Francophone language, literature, and culture
- Specialization: Open, with preference for expertise in Sub-Saharan African studies and 19th-century studies
Teaching Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach approximately 6 courses per year, including:
- Language courses at all levels
- Intermediate and advanced literature courses (if applicable)
Qualifications
- Language fluency: Native or near-native proficiency in French
- Minimum degree: M.A., with a Ph.D. preferred
