Position Overview: Physician Assistant 🩺

The Physician Assistant role is vital in delivering exceptional medical care. You will conduct physical exams, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans under the supervision of a physician. This is a safety-sensitive position involving direct patient care and medication administration, requiring close collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 📝

  • Practice medicine under physician supervision with sound judgment, adhering to ethical standards and industry best practices
  • Provide care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, especially in older adults
  • Take responsibility for patient outcomes, consulting specialists as needed while maintaining detailed involvement in patient care
  • Engage with hospitalists during inpatient stays
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, CLIA, safety regulations)
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, educate, and coordinate care for patients with complex health needs using evidence-based methods
  • Maintain comprehensive, timely documentation in the EMR within 48 hours of visits
  • Educate patients on health promotion, risk reduction, and disease management
  • Interpret diagnostic data collaboratively with supervising physicians
  • Show compassion, professionalism, and quality in every patient interaction
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and team members
  • Participate in continuing education and adhere to licensure requirements
  • Ensure patients are seen every other visit by the Physician
  • Manage patient complaints through proper channels
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Skills 🎯

  • Proficiency in Vietnamese language (spoken and written) is preferred
  • Completion of a four-year Physician Assistant baccalaureate program with clinical training, or a two-year accredited PA program plus clinical experience
  • State licensure or certification as a Physician Assistant
  • Minimum of 1-year outpatient primary care experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems
  • Commitment to providing 5-star service aligning with our mission
  • Strong skills in patient assessment and management
  • ACLS/BLS certification as required by state regulations
  • Ability to handle emergency situations with professionalism and calmness
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex medical data
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools

Physical Requirements 🚶‍♂️🏥

  • Full range of motion necessary for patient handling and medical procedures
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for prolonged periods
  • Capability to lift and move patients and equipment up to 15 lbs
  • Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Valid transportation to operate a motor vehicle as needed
