What We're Looking for in a Vietnamese Tutor 🎯

• Advanced Subject Mastery: In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese tones (six tones), alphabet, grammar (including classifiers and sentence patterns), vocabulary, reading comprehension, and cultural context. Capable of explaining tonal pronunciation, regional dialects, and preparing students for communicative proficiency.
• Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving: Skilled in teaching tonal pronunciation, grammar, conversational fluency, and cultural norms. Able to guide students through pronunciation practices, sentence construction, and cultural understanding—enhancing listening and speaking skills.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptability: Familiar with Vietnamese language curricula and common learner challenges. Can tailor instruction using tone drills, authentic media, and conversational practice for both heritage and non-heritage students.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Able to identify student difficulties, explain concepts through multiple approaches, and adapt to various learning styles.
• Communication & Engagement: Strong communicator with a friendly, engaging teaching style, adaptable to individual student needs.
