You will be responsible for preparing and cooking all Vietnamese menu items in a safe, timely, and organized manner, maintaining high food quality and professionalism that reflect our company values. Ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience is our ultimate goal! 🍽️

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes or instructions provided.
  • Train new hires and instruct staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef or Chef D’Cuisine to ensure overall kitchen and restaurant success.
  • Ensure stations are prepared for anticipated business levels and assist team members when needed.
  • Validate all stations, including prep areas.
  • Perform daily cleaning duties efficiently, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle high-volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure employee safety at all times.
  • Work under supervision of culinary management team following established procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
  • Occasionally interact directly with guests to enhance their experience.
  • Adhere to company and department appearance standards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism that embodies our brand and values.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed 🌟

  • Proficiency with all kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Ability to read and write basic instructions and production lists.
  • Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Creativity in cooking and food presentation.
  • Understanding of sanitation and health regulations for safe food handling.
  • Effective communication in English and fluency in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, or other Asian languages.

Qualifications

Must-Haves ✔️

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Culinary arts courses or equivalent experience in Asian cuisine.
  • 5+ years of experience as a restaurant line cook.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licensure as per MSLA or other regulatory agencies.

Physical Requirements 🏋️‍♂️

  • Ability to stand for long periods without sitting or leaning.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Work around 500°F ovens and within 40°F walk-in refrigerators.
  • Continuous standing and walking during a 10-hour shift.
