Job Description: Vendor Consultant (AVS) 🚀
In collaboration with Retail Business Services (RBS), the Vendor Consultant will help shape and execute strategic initiatives to enhance vendor performance and business growth on Amazon.
About the Role 📝
The Vendor Consultant will partner with internal teams to optimize key business metrics for AVS vendors, drive growth, and improve customer experiences. This role requires a bright, customer-centric, driven, and creative mindset, with frequent interface across RBS, Retail, and Vendor Services teams.
The ideal candidate will analyze data, develop strategies, and manage operational aspects of vendor relationships, focusing on boosting traffic, brand awareness, conversions, and revenue on Amazon.
Key Responsibilities 🎯
- Measure Success: Monitor internal team performance and vendor impact on customer experience.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Collaborate with the Retail (AVS) team to represent vendor needs at Amazon.
- Communication & Expectations: Build communication channels, set expectations, provide status updates, and develop growth plans.
- Strategic Account Planning: Create and execute strategic plans aligned with key business opportunities and KPIs.
- Operational Improvements: Partner with internal teams/vendors to enhance operational processes for a superior consumer experience.
- Data Analysis & Recommendations: Conduct deep dives into issues and opportunities, formulates data-driven action plans.
- Thought Leadership: Lead planning, roadmaps, and execution strategies.
- Vendor Partnerships: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors.
- Program Launches: Support new program and feature launches.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct weekly and monthly business reviews, highlight performance metrics, and develop action plans.
- Metrics & Forecasting: Understand and influence key metrics, forecast trends, and adapt strategies proactively.
Basic Qualifications ✅
- Minimum B2 Certification (Italian)
- 2+ years in vendor/account/catalog management, buying, sourcing, sales, or product management
- 2+ years experience interacting with customers/stakeholders
- 1+ year in program or project management
- Proven ability to leverage data for business decisions
- Advanced Excel skills (including Array and Statistical formulas)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Fast learner, comfortable dealing with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications 🌟
- Knowledge of GenAI and basic AI prompt skills
- Experience in process or procedure improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, SIM-ticketing, project management platforms, and scripting
