Join us as a UX Research & Localization Assistant in Italy to refine and tailor a new Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and installment payment solution specifically for the Italian market—helping us connect authentically with local users. 🇮🇹
Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and culturally-savvy professional based in Italy to optimize our payment platform, ensuring it resonates with Italian consumers' shopping habits and builds lasting trust. All communication and reporting will be conducted in English.
🔍 Responsibilities
- Competitor UX Walkthroughs: Analyze user journeys of leading BNPL and payment platforms in Italy such as Scalapay, Klarna, Soisy, and PayPal Paga in 3. Focus on checkout processes and installment features.
- Linguistic & Cultural Audit: Review our Italian interface for cultural relevance. Ensure tone of voice is professional yet engaging, and verify the correctness of financial terminology (e.g., Rateizzazione, TAEG, Dilazione di pagamento, Addebito diretto).
- Legal & Trust Review: Assess the UX against Italian standards for transparency, especially regarding mandatory legal warnings and interest rate disclosures (e.g., TAEG) during checkout.
- English Reporting: Translate insights that reflect Italian cultural nuances into comprehensive reports and actionable recommendations in English.

- PII Masking: All Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, addresses, bank details (IBAN), or credit limits must be masked, blurred, or redacted in all deliverables.
- Sensitive Data: Do not share private financial data. We focus solely on UI/UX, wording, and interaction flows.
📝 Requirements
- Location: Residing currently in Italy.
- Language Skills: Native or bilingual proficiency (C2) in Italian; full professional proficiency (C1/C2) in English for reports and meetings.
- Digital Native: In-depth familiarity with Italian e-commerce (e.g., Amazon.it, Zalando, Esselunga) and local payment habits.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to rationalize UX patterns' effectiveness or failure within the Italian market.

- Active BNPL User: Experience using local installment services like Scalapay, Klarna, or PayPal Paga in 3.
- Understanding of Installment Logic: Familiarity with the entire user journey, including TAEG disclosures and the checkout flow.
