Position Summary: French Instructor (Part-Time) 🇫🇷
We are searching for passionate and dedicated applicants to join us as part-time French teachers. The role involves teaching 1 to 3 classes, building meaningful relationships with motivated students from diverse backgrounds, and collaborating with colleagues within the World Languages Department. This position remains open until filled.

Our campus promotes a one-to-one laptop program, integrating technology through electronic textbooks, Google Docs & Forms, and blended learning models. Use of our learning management system, Canvas, and active participation in the advisory program are essential professional expectations.

Responsibilities & Duties ✍️
- Prepare lessons, grade papers, manage classroom activities, and provide student feedback.
- Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Design and implement balanced instructional programs including demonstrations and active learning.
- Use various teaching modalities such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
- Set clear lesson objectives and communicate effectively with students.
- Prepare, administer, and evaluate assessments to monitor progress.
- Engage with parents regarding student development and resource needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on program development and revisions.
- Oversee advisory students and serve as a liaison with parents, providing academic, social, and future-planning guidance.
- Lead or coach extracurricular activities, including sports or academic teams.
- Participate in professional development opportunities such as conferences and workshops.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
Qualifications & Experience 🎓
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or international equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public or independent schools, with strong curriculum and instruction skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity.
- Passion for teaching and mastery of current pedagogical practices.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and presentation abilities.
- Experience collaborating within a language department.
- Ability to pass a Jessica Lunsford Level II background check and drug screening.
Certifications & Additional Requirements 📝
- CPR/AED/First Aid certifications — obtainable upon hiring.
