📚 Job Summary
The Upper School French Guest Teacher will provide classroom instruction aligned with OES standards, promoting curiosity, exploration, and lifelong learning. Teachers at OES nurture community, social responsibility, and respect for individual differences. The role involves:
- Supporting the school's educational mission
- Communicating effectively with students and colleagues
- Fostering an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
This position reports directly to the Upper School Assistant Division Heads. Lunch is provided on workdays.
📝 Essential Duties
- Report promptly after receiving a teaching request
- Deliver lessons, routines, and supervision as per lesson plans
- Provide a written report at the end of the day outlining activities and observations
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent in French or related field, or native fluency
- Experience teaching secondary school-aged students
- Intercultural competency and commitment to equity and inclusion
- Digital literacy, including proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, video conferencing, and adaptable to new technologies
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

- Master’s degree or equivalent in French or related field
- At least five years of teaching experience

- Primarily work in a classroom environment with clear communication abilities
- Mobility to move around the campus and ensure student safety
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance
