Minimum Qualifications ✅

A non-refundable processing fee of $50 must be paid by credit or debit card. Applications without proper payment will be rejected.
Fee waivers are available for eligible applicants, including:

- Recipients of Medicaid, SSI, or Public Assistance
- Active-duty military personnel and veterans
Applicants claiming fee waivers should select the appropriate option and upload the required documentation as instructed.

The Nassau County Civil Service Commission now utilizes electronic canvassing. Canvass notifications will be sent via email—please monitor inbox and spam folders. Candidates must notify the commission of any contact information changes in writing.
More than two non-responses to canvass letters will result in removal from the eligible list.
Examination Details 📋
The total examination time may not exceed eight hours and includes:
- Written Test Topics: Spelling, Alphabetizing, Record Keeping, Clerical Operations with Letters and Numbers
- Note: A calculator (solar or battery-powered) is recommended. Devices such as computers, spell-checkers, or translators are prohibited during the test.
- Typing Test: To be assessed during probation, with established proficiency necessary for employment. Questions? Call [phone number].
- Language Skills: Urdu proficiency will be assessed during probation if applicable.
If you haven't received notice of your exam results within three days of July 11, 2026, contact the Commission.
