The Job

Interpreting involves listening carefully to source content, understanding it fully, and reproducing the speech accurately into the target language. Your responsibilities include:

• Interpreting for legal, health, and local government services 🏥⚖️
• Checking non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence 🔄
• Providing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting 🎤
• Handling highly confidential information 🔐
• Liaising effectively between service users and providers

Requirements

• Fluent in English and another language
• Must have the right to work in the UK ✅
• Be aged 21 or over
• Formal qualifications (preferred but not mandatory):
• Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
• Community Interpreting qualification
• NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
• Degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages
• Other interpreting-related qualifications
