Qualifications β
- 3+ years of professional interpreting experience
- Interpreter certification or completion of interpretation training courses
- Authorized to work in the US
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in English and target language, as assessed by our Language Checkup
- Ability to handle video calls when required
- Remote position; must reside within the US

Position Summary π
This role involves skilled consecutive interpretation, primarily in a first-person format. Work is conducted under supervision, following established policies and procedures. Limited discretion is exercised, with most issues referred to a supervisor. This description applies universally to all interpreter languages spoken.
Essential Functions (Major Duties & Responsibilities) π
- Provide meaning-for-meaning interpretation across various industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, Business, Insurance, Emergency Services (911), and more.
- Adhere to CyraComβs interpreter protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with company policies and ethical standards.
- Participate in all required training, including sessions led by the CyraCom Quality and Development Department.
- Enhance vocabulary and knowledge of specialized subjects like medical, legal, and social services.
- Use standard office equipment and software, including telephones, computers, fax machines, Outlook, Word, and Internet browsers.
- Demonstrate punctuality, follow instructions, complete tasks on schedule, communicate effectively in English, in person, and via telephone.
