Role: Trust & Risk Agent
The Trust & Risk team plays a critical role in ensuring Whatnot remains a safe and trusted platform for our users. As a Trust & Risk Agent, you will be the frontline support, handling escalated and emergency issues related to the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- 💌 Provide inbound email support for our French users experiencing trust and safety issues
- 🛡️ De-escalate and educate customers with clear, accurate information to resolve issues and enhance marketplace safety
- 🔎 Investigate high-complexity Trust & Risk cases, maintaining high customer satisfaction
- 🌍 Serve as an escalation point requiring cultural and linguistic understanding
- 🤝 Collaborate with other departments to resolve open questions
- ⏳ Manage backlog of open issues and monitor key operational metrics
- 🎯 Represent Whatnot with integrity and professionalism
- 📊 Use data and key metrics to inform decision-making
Work Environment & Location
Enjoy flexible work-from-home arrangements or work from our global office hubs. In-person time is valued for planning, collaboration, and connection. We require team members in this role to live within commuting distance of our Dublin hub.

- 🎓 A 4-year degree is a plus; 1-3 years of experience in Trust & Safety, customer service, UX, or fulfillment
- 🇫🇷 Fluent in French and English
- 😊 Positive, customer-first attitude
- 📅 Weekend availability
- 🔧 Proactive problem-solver and process improver
- 📱 Experience with social media, parcel delivery, marketplace vendors, or fraud operations
- 🛒 Understanding of eCommerce and marketplace operations
- 🖥️ Familiarity with customer-facing systems like Zendesk, Kustomer, or Intercom
- ⭐ Knowledge of Collectibles is a plus
