Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- 📞 Answer incoming calls from consumers, prospective enrollees, and those assisting enrollees, adhering to all performance standards, policies, and privacy regulations.
- 💬 Respond promptly and effectively to inbound and outbound inquiries.
- 📝 Track and document all interactions using the applicable systems.
- 🩺 Process healthcare coverage applications via phone, including building tax household profiles, income verification, eligibility determinations, interpreting Marketplace decisions, and enrollment into health plans. Transfer or refer consumers as needed.
- 🔄 Manage changes such as life events, demographic updates, disenrollments, and special enrollment periods.
- 📧 Facilitate fulfillment of caller requests for materials through mail, email, or downloads.
- 🔤 Provide translation services for non-English speaking callers, following established procedures.
- ⚠️ Escalate issues to the appropriate staff when resolution requires additional support.
- 🧠 Attend meetings and training sessions to stay current on programs and systems.
