Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from consumers, including the general public, prospective enrollees, and individuals assisting enrollees or acting on their behalf, adhering to all performance standards, policies, procedures, and confidentiality/privacy protocols.
- Respond effectively to all inbound and outbound contacts.
- Track and document all inquiries using the designated systems.
- Process new applications for healthcare coverage over the phone, including building tax households, calculating household income, determining eligibility, interpreting Marketplace decisions, and enrolling into health plans. Transfer or refer consumers to appropriate entities as guided.
- Manage life event changes, demographic updates, disenrollment requests, and special enrollment periods as needed.
- Facilitate the delivery of caller-requested materials via mail, email, or download.
- Provide translation services for non-English speaking callers in accordance with established procedures.
- Escalate calls or issues to appropriate staff for resolution when necessary.
- Participate in meetings and trainings as required and keep up-to-date with all program and system knowledge.
