B&B Concrete Is Hiring A Traveling Bilingual Safety Manager

Job Overview
You will collaborate with Project Staff and the Concrete Strategies safety team to uphold and execute corporate safety and health standards in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. In addition to your core project responsibilities, you will participate in various safety-related assignments to ensure a safe work environment on each project site. 🦺🌱
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the project safety program.
- Establish and conduct jobsite orientations for new project workers, ensuring participation is properly recorded.
- Participate in meetings with project staff and subcontractors to clarify safety roles and expectations.
- Conduct safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and project staff to ensure compliance and safety procedures are understood.
- Facilitate training for site personnel, aligning with OSHA, Concrete Strategies, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain safety logs of toolbox talks and safety meetings for each subcontractor.
- Review subcontractor safety programs to ensure they meet or surpass project standards.
- Ensure subcontractors assign trained safety representatives with proper authority.
- Perform daily and weekly inspections, documenting safety violations and corrective actions.
- Address violations immediately, stopping unsafe acts and practices as necessary.
- Support fire safety procedures, including fire prevention and evacuation plans, with the Project Superintendent.
- Investigate incidents and generate detailed reports.
- Maintain all safety records required for project documentation.
- Conduct monthly safety overview meetings and participate in project staff meetings to discuss safety issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to promote a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written. 📢🤝
- Minimum of 3 years of safety experience or an equivalent combination of education and construction experience.
- Working knowledge of safety and environmental principles and techniques.
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification.
- OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for record-keeping and reporting.
