Role & Responsibilities

• Ensure that the target text accurately reflects the meaning of the source content.
• Perform linguistic tasks according to project instructions, translation memory, glossaries, and style guides.
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy while preserving key terminology.
• Spot inconsistencies and cultural inaccuracies.
• Correct formatting, tagging, punctuation, country-specific details, and style to align with guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience.
• Native Japanese speaker with excellent comprehension and writing skills in English.
• Experience in translation and proofreading within Fashion and E-Commerce fields is preferred.
• Proficiency with CAT tools and basic IT skills.
• Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new tools.
• Strong cultural and linguistic understanding of both source and target languages.
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments and changing project priorities.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
