Role & Responsibilities

• Ensure the target text accurately reflects the source message
• Perform linguistic tasks following project instructions and reference materials (translation memories, glossaries, style guides, etc.)
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy while preserving key terminology, and identify inconsistencies and cultural inaccuracies
• Correct formatting, tagging, punctuation, country-specific nuances, terminology, style, and fluency according to guidelines

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience
• Native Japanese language speaker
• Excellent command of English in both comprehension and writing
• Experience in translation and proofreading within Fashion and E-Commerce fields is preferred
• Proficiency with CAT tools and IT skills
• Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new tools
• Strong linguistic and cultural understanding of both source and target languages
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments with changing project priorities
• Ability to stay professional under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
