Role Responsibilities

• Ensure the target text accurately reflects the source meaning
• Perform linguistic tasks following project instructions and references (translation memory, glossary, style guides, etc.)
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy while preserving key terminology
• Identify and correct inconsistencies and cultural inaccuracies
• Adjust formatting, tagging, punctuation, and terminology to meet guidelines

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience
• Native Japanese speaker
• Excellent command of English, both comprehension and writing
• Previous experience in translation and proofreading within Fashion and E-Commerce fields (preferred)
• Familiarity with CAT tools and IT skills
• Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new tools
• Strong linguistic and cultural understanding of both source and target languages
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Professionalism under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
