We’re seeking a dedicated Translator to support HR and Operations, enhancing clarity and collaboration across our plant. If you're bilingual and passionate about effective communication, this opportunity is for you!

🎯 Primary Purpose

The translator will assist HR and Operations with translation needs to improve communication within the plant. This includes supporting during interviews, onboarding, on the production floor, and within Human Resources when necessary.

🗓️ Schedule

Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, with occasional scheduled Saturdays.

🔧 Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Translate Messages & Content: At management's request, translate messages and content simultaneously or consecutively into specified languages while maintaining their original meaning, context, and style. Adhere to ethical standards to protect confidentiality.
• Assist Employees: Provide translation support when approached by employees, listening carefully to ensure accurate understanding and conveying their statements effectively.
• Document Translation: Translate written documents as needed for plant postings, ensuring translated content clearly conveys the original message.
• Promote Safety: Use translation efforts to reinforce safety protocols across the plant.

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole or Spanish preferred to support communication with applicants and employees
• Certification through the American Translator Association is preferred
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience preferred
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills to ensure clear understanding
• Active listening skills to accurately interpret spoken words and ideas
