Job Opening: Translator (Haitian Creole/English) 🌍

Join our team as a bilingual translator to facilitate clear communication across HR and Operations in our plant. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective dialogue during interviews, onboarding, daily operations, and HR processes.

🌟 Primary Purpose

The translator's main goal is to assist both HR and Operations by providing accurate translation services, enhancing communication in various settings such as interviews, onboarding, production floors, and Human Resources activities.

🕒 Schedule

Working hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional scheduled Saturdays.

💼 Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Translation Support: At management's request, translate messages and content in real-time (simultaneous or consecutive), ensuring the message’s integrity, context, and style are preserved. Uphold ethical standards to maintain confidentiality.
• Employee Interaction: Offer translation assistance to employees as needed. Listen carefully to employee statements to accurately interpret meanings while protecting confidentiality.
• Document Translation: Translate written documents for plant postings, ensuring the translated content reflects the original message clearly and accurately.
• Safety Promotion: Contribute to safety awareness through accurate translation of safety messages and instructions.

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual: Proficiency in Haitian Creole or Spanish is preferred to support communication with applicants and employees.
• Certification: Certification from the American Translator Association is preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant translation experience is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Ability to convey information clearly in speaking and writing to ensure understanding.
• Listening Skills: Ability to attentively listen to spoken information and accurately interpret ideas and messages.
