Seeking a skilled translator to bridge language gaps and provide vital services across various sectors, ensuring clear communication and cultural sensitivity.

Overview

The Translator will deliver translation services for individuals facing language barriers. This includes, but is not limited to, work in Education, Legal, Medical, Environmental, and Social Services sectors. All duties are performed in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

📝 Responsibilities

• Accurate translation of spoken work in lectures, conversations, and meetings.
• Utilization of technology to transcribe Spoken English in various settings.
• Reading and translating original documents into the required language.
• Editing translated versions for accuracy and clarity.
• Maintaining cultural sensitivity during the translation process for both original and target languages.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

🎓 Qualifications – Here's What You Need

• High School diploma, BA degree, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of translation/interpretation experience in Hindi.
• Certified Translation Professional and ATA Certification.
• Additional translation certifications preferred.
• Experience working with State Departments, refugees, FDA, Health & Human Services, medical, legal, housing authorities, etc.
• Fluency in Hindi.
• Ability to pass a background check (may include additional checks based on project requirements).
• Discretion and impartiality in translation facilitation.
• Proficiency in written communication.
• Wide knowledge across various topics.
• Strong social awareness, empathy, and attentiveness.
• Cultural awareness for region-specific translations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for extended sessions.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.).
• Highly motivated with multitasking ability.
• Strong relationship-building skills, both individually and in teams.
• Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively.

• Remote professional environment.
• Availability for on-call notifications within 48 hours for potential jobs.
• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing duties over extended periods.
• Sufficient computer skills to meet job demands.
• Ability to establish a productive and professional workspace.
• Comfortable sitting for long periods while using a computer.
• Flexibility to work during holidays and outside normal business hours.
• Willingness to travel for business or professional development.
