Overview

The Translator will deliver accurate translations and cultural interpretations to facilitate effective communication, aligning all duties with Cayuse’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

The Work:

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately translating spoken communication in various settings like lectures, conversations, and meetings 🗣️.
• Using technology to transcribe spoken English as needed 💻.
• Reading original documents and translating them into the required language 📄➡️🌐.
• Editing translated content to ensure clarity and accuracy ✍️.
• Being sensitive to cultural nuances of both the source and target languages during translation 🌍.
• Executing additional duties as assigned by the organization.

Qualifications – Here's What You Need:

• High School diploma, BA degree, or equivalent experience 🎓.
• At least 3+ years of translation/interpretation experience in Hindi 🗣️.
• Certified Translation Professional and ATA Certification 🏅.
• Relevant translation certifications.
• Experience with agencies like the State Department, refugees, FDA, Health & Human Services, Medical, Legal, Housing Authority, etc. 🏢.
• Fluency in Hindi.
• Ability to pass a background check (may include additional checks during employment) ✅.
• Discretion and impartiality in translation facilitation.
• Proficiency in written communication and a broad knowledge base across topics.
• Cultural awareness and social sensitivity to different regional contexts 🌐🤝.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for extended sessions.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat). 🖥️.
• Motivated self-starter capable of handling multiple tasks.
• Ability to develop relationships and work independently or within teams 🤝.

Deputy Program Manager

Working Conditions:

• Remote, professional work environment 🏠.
• On-call availability; potential job notifications within 48 hours.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods, both physically and mentally 🧠💪.
• Proficiency in computer operations and productivity tools at a fast pace.
• Capability to establish a productive workspace.
• Comfort with long hours sitting at a computer.
