🔍 Seeking a skilled Translator to bridge language gaps and facilitate effective communication across diverse sectors. This role involves providing accurate translation services in education, legal, medical, environmental, and social services, ensuring cultural sensitivity and professionalism.

Overview

The Translator will deliver translation services to individuals facing language barriers, supporting various sectors including education, legal, medical, environmental, and social services. All duties will align with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

📝 The Work: Responsibilities

• Accurately translate spoken work situations such as lectures, conversations, and meetings.
• Utilize technology to transcribe spoken English in applicable settings.
• Read original documents and translate them into the required language.
• Edit translated versions for clarity and accuracy.
• Be culturally sensitive to both original and target languages during translation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

🎓 Qualifications

• High School diploma, BA degree, or equivalent experience (3+ years in translation/interpretation).
• Certified Translation Professional with ATA Certification and other relevant translation certifications.
• Experience with entities such as the State Department, refugees, FDA, Health & Human Services, Medical, Legal, Housing Authority, etc.
• Fluent in Hindi.
• Ability to pass background checks and additional screenings as required.
• Discretion, impartiality, and proficiency in written communication.
• Strong knowledge across various topics and cultural awareness.
• Physical stamina and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat).
• Highly motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently or within a team.

Deputy Program Manager

🖥️ Working Conditions

• Professional remote environment.
• Must be on-call with potential notifications within 48 hours for jobs.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including sitting at a computer.
• Flexibility to work during holidays, outside normal hours, and travel as needed.
• Establish and maintain a professional workspace.
