Position Summary

The Research Translator is responsible for translating written financial materials from Japanese to English for our clients. This role involves close collaboration with teams in New York and Tokyo to ensure the timely and effective communication of market insights and financial analyses.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate a variety of Japanese financial documents, including reports, memos, comments, and presentation materials, into professional English.
• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all translated materials.
• Conduct reviews and provide quality assurance for translations completed by others.
• Coordinate with external translation vendors and manage outsourced translation workflows.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Fluent in Japanese and a native or near-native level in English, with strong English writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Bloomberg and financial databases is preferred.
• Previous experience in financial services or research is a plus.
