Position Summary 📝

Under the guidance of the Service Delivery Manager and Academic Specialist, the Thai Instructor demonstrates a passion for quality language education and acts as a subject matter expert and ambassador for Berlitz. The instructor teaches assigned classes, providing student support aligned with Berlitz’s teaching and customer service principles. Participation in professional development activities ensures the instructor remains familiar with goal-oriented, student-centered instruction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 🎯

• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with Berlitz teaching principles, focusing on students' goals, needs, and interests.
• Conduct level assessments and needs analyses as assigned by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.
• Work with private and group students at the Learning Center, offsite locations, or virtually, as directed.
• Collaborate regularly with the Academic Specialist to evaluate lessons, receive coaching, and ensure SMART goals are achieved.
• Complete professional development modules via the @Berlitz Learning website or in live sessions.
• Maintain accurate student pedagogical and attendance records.
• Integrate learning technology into teaching programs and manage shared resource materials.
• Perform additional duties as delegated by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.

Qualifications & Experience 🔶

• Eligible to work in the US
• Four-year college/university degree or equivalent
• Expert-level proficiency in Thai
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexible working hours
• Ability to take initiative and work independently

Availability during daytime hours is required.

Position Details 📍

Location: In Person in Honolulu, HI

• Student Level: Beginner
• Goal: Achieve Acquisition training, reaching 2/2/1+ proficiency levels
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 12pm & 1pm - 4pm HST
• Training Duration: 75 days, 6 hours/day, totaling 450 hours
• Start Date: To be confirmed
• Venue: Flex-Space facility in Honolulu area (Oahu)

Compensation 💸

Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour

Physical & Work Environment 🏢

Essential Physical Functions: Regularly talking, hearing, standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment: A professional office setting utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
