About the Position
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and manage both established and new customer relationships by selling food and non-food items to achieve sales and profitability targets. Your key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of customer relationships
- Engaging customers in value-added activities
- Leveraging resources to pursue top penetration opportunities and new account openings
USF offers a comprehensive training program for the Territory Manager position. New hires may initially be classified as TM Unassigned (E8072) until they successfully complete training and are assigned to a territory. Upon completion, they are moved into the TM (E7172) role.

Main Responsibilities 🛠️
- Foster customer relationships within a team-based selling environment
- Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule, troubleshooting any issues (e.g., mispicks, stock-outs)
- Communicate with customers and collections, working with credit to ensure timely payments
- Identify and develop new business opportunities using market intelligence, directories, leads, trade shows, and networking
- Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ offerings
- Drive to customer locations, including lifting/carrying up to 75lbs, to ensure product delivery
What You Bring to the Role 🎯
- 1+ year of sales experience (preferably in foodservice or restaurant management)
- Excellent communication, customer service, and presentation skills
- Good standing motor vehicle record
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- High School Diploma or equivalent

The initial base salary range for this role is $55,000 - $95,000, depending on experience, education, skills, location, and other factors.
