📝 The Role: Territory Manager
As a Territory Manager, you'll be instrumental in fostering customer relationships and driving sales growth. Your efforts will directly impact our success through account management, new business development, and collaborative teamwork. What You'll Do 🌟
- Be the Customer Champion: Cultivate and nurture client relationships, educate on ordering platforms, and offer menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to help customers thrive.
- Drive Sales Success: Achieve sales targets by delivering compelling presentations, expanding case growth, and acquiring new accounts. Effective territory and time management are essential.
- Team-Based Selling: Collaborate with Specialists to maximize account penetration, assist with new account openings, and coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams for seamless delivery.
- Lead with Insight: Identify prospective clients through market research, business directories, leads from existing clients, networking events, and trade shows.
- Delivery Resolution: Oversee delivery logistics, troubleshoot issues like mispicks, shortages, or stock-outs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain Competitive Advantage: Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitor strategies; share insights as value-added services.
- Stay on the Move: Conduct regular site visits, check-ins, and follow-ups while driving your personal vehicle, ensuring consistent customer engagement.
🧑💼 Supervision & Work Environment
- Supervision: No direct reports.
- Work Environment: Predominantly outside the office, visiting customers in varying weather and temperature conditions.
🎯 Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record
- Foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to cold call and develop new business
- Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Competitive spirit with goal-oriented mindset
- Problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Team-oriented mentality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce (a plus)
- Capacity to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs

💰 Compensation
Salary ranges from $55,000 to $95,000, depending on experience, education, skills, location, and applicable laws.
