About the Role: Territory Account Executive 🌍

Square is seeking a passionate Territory Account Executive to join our dynamic field sales team. This role focuses on bringing a local, authentic experience to sellers in your community by demonstrating Square’s mission of economic empowerment. You'll work predominantly with restaurants, retailers, and service-based businesses in high-potential markets, acting as a key hunter and relationship builder.

Key Responsibilities ✅

  • In-person sales: Engage with prospective sellers through face-to-face interactions (80% of your time) to source leads, perform demos, and close deals within the Square ecosystem.
  • Community engagement: Build relationships with active Square sellers, monitor account health, and generate referrals by partnering with customer support and account management teams.
  • Onboarding support: Collaborate with onboarding teams to ensure smooth implementation of Square solutions.
  • Lead generation: Develop a sustainable top-of-funnel pipeline by conducting 50-60 drop-ins weekly, creating referral channels, and establishing local partnerships and events.
  • Product expertise: Master demo and onboarding of Square hardware and software solutions.
  • Partnership building: Work with channel sales to identify and establish referral partnerships within your market.
  • Market understanding: Gain in-depth knowledge of the operational and technological needs of restaurant, retail, and service sectors.
  • Sales goals achievement: Meet or surpass monthly sales targets and KPIs, leveraging Salesforce to track progress and outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience 🌟

  • Full proficiency in both English and Spanish
  • 3+ years of full-cycle sales experience, preferably in field sales
  • 2+ years in payment processing or related technologies (payroll, loyalty, time management)
  • 1+ years working with or selling to restaurants, retail, or service businesses
  • Proven record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals
  • Ability to independently drive deals in a fast-paced environment
  • Business development skills, including cold calling and hunting
  • Reliable transportation and residence within the target market area
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience
  • Collaborative team player with Salesforce familiarity and operational knowledge of restaurant, retail, or service sectors is preferred

Compensation & Benefits 💼

Our pay structure is market-based and varies by geographic location, with ranges including:

  • Zone A: $148,700 – $223,100
  • Zone B: $138,300 – $207,500
  • Zone C: $130,900 – $196,300
  • Zone D: $123,400 – $185,200
