Job Description
The FDI Analyst will enhance awareness of investment opportunities in Italy and support U.S. companies in establishing or expanding Italian operations. The role involves collaboration with the Trade Commissioner in Chicago and the Foreign Investment Department based in Italy.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Intelligence: Conduct screening of potential U.S. investors and maintain the ITA CRM database.
- Lead Generation: Identify and scout potential investors through research, networking, and trade show attendance.
- Promotion & Marketing: Educate U.S. companies about Italy’s regulatory framework and competitive advantages.
- Investor Support: Provide ongoing support for existing investors throughout their investment lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build relationships with local authorities, business multipliers, and corporate officers.

Requirements & Qualifications
Mandatory ✅
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
- US Citizenship or Green Card holder (ITA does not sponsor visas)
- US Fiscal Residence
- Fluent in English and proficient in Italian (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
- Familiarity with major FDI databases
- Knowledge of U.S. and Italian industrial frameworks and institutions
- Proactive, result-oriented, with excellent communication, project management, and budgeting skills
- Availability for domestic and international travel ✈️
Preferred 🌟
- Master’s Degree or PhD
- Experience with Italian entities, U.S.-based companies, or in investment banking/consulting
Salary & Compensation 💰
Annual gross salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000. Additionally, a performance bonus of up to $30,000 may be awarded based on target achievements. Candidates are responsible for all applicable taxes per U.S. law. Health insurance coverage is not included.
Work Schedule & Duration
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., including a 1-hour lunch break. The contract duration is initially 12 months, with potential extension.
