Compensation & Benefits

About the Role

The Teller I works in a TD Store location, playing a vital role in delivering legendary customer experiences while accurately processing banking transactions and educating clients on TD’s products and services or referring them to specialized partners.

Responsibilities & Scope

  • Execute TD’s Brand promise through exemplary customer service 🤝
  • Perform transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe deposit box management 💰
  • Handle cash transactions, verify currency, balance drawers, and process night deposits with high accuracy 💳
  • Respond to customer inquiries and escalate issues when necessary 📞
  • Lead lobby management by welcoming customers and guiding flows appropriately 🚶‍♂️
  • Understand customer banking preferences and promote self-service and digital options 📱
  • Conduct needs-based conversations, offer financial and digital solutions, and refer to partners when needed 🗣️
  • Make sound decisions, resolve issues promptly, and escalate complex problems 🔑
  • Ensure operational and regulatory compliance (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) 🛡️
  • Verify customer identities and adhere to security protocols 🔐
  • Balance ATMs and Teller Cash Dispensers/Recyclers accurately 🏧
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information 🔒
  • Adhere to safety, security, and audit procedures to prevent loss 🚨
  • Utilize bank tools to detect and prevent fraud 🕵️‍♂️
  • Complete all required training and development sessions by deadlines 🎓

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED ✅
  • Minimum 6 months relevant work experience preferred; volunteering, education, or military experience also considered 🎖️
  • Availability to work during operational hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays 🗓️
  • Customer service skills preferred 🤝
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills 🔍
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environments ⚡
  • Excellent communication skills — clear, concise, and professional 💬

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

The role involves frequent sedentary work, walking, standing, and occasional lifting (under 25 lbs). Detailed physical activity requirements are provided to ensure a safe and productive working environment.
