Job Summary

The Teller I plays a critical role in providing legendary customer experiences at our TD Store location. You will process daily banking transactions promptly and accurately, while educating clients about our products and services or referring them to specialized partners.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work 🌟

• Deliver excellent customer service by executing appropriate behaviors to uphold TD's brand promise
• Handle customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe deposit boxes
• Accurately process cash transactions, verify currency, balance cash drawers, and manage night deposits
• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and escalate issues when necessary
• Lead in the lobby by welcoming customers, managing flow, and guiding appropriately
• Educate customers on banking preferences, self-service, and digital banking options
• Conduct needs-based conversations, offering financial solutions or referring clients to partners
• Make timely decisions and resolve issues, escalating complex problems to management
• Ensure compliance with operational policies and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act)
• Verify customer identities per authentication policies
• Balance cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Dispensers/Recyclers
• Follow secure deposit and vault procedures, managing cash limits and securing cash at all times
• Protect customer confidentiality and follow dual control procedures
• Utilize bank tools to detect, address, and prevent fraud
• Complete all required training modules on time

Education & Experience 🎓

• High school diploma or GED required
• Preferred: 6 months of related experience, volunteering, military service, or education
• Flexible to work during operating hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Customer service skills and strong organizational abilities preferred
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This role involves frequent sedentary work, operating office equipment, quick response to sounds, and standing for long durations. Travel is occasional domestically, with no international travel expected.

Essential Physical Activities Include:

• Standing and walking frequently
• Reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, and twisting occasionally
• Reaching overhead or forward as needed
• Pushing and pulling occasionally, under 25 lbs.
• Concentrating for long periods and handling multiple tasks continuously
