Role Overview 📋

The Teller I plays a vital role in delivering legendary customer experiences at TD Store locations by:

  • Processing everyday banking transactions with precision and efficiency
  • Educating customers about TD’s products and digital solutions
  • Referring customers to specialized partners when needed

Key Responsibilities & Scope 🌟

  • Handle customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments accurately
  • Verify currency, balance cash drawers, and manage night deposits with high precision
  • Respond to customer inquiries, escalating issues appropriately to management
  • Lead in the lobby by welcoming customers, guiding flow, and managing digital engagement
  • Understand customer needs and educate on self-service and digital banking options
  • Conduct needs-based conversations to offer financial solutions or refer to specialists
  • Make informed decisions and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain compliance with policies like the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act
  • Authenticate customer identities and secure confidential information
  • Balance cash drawers, ATMs, TCDs, and TCRs accurately
  • Follow security procedures, including dual control and safeguarding assets

Training & Education 🎓

  • Complete all required classroom and online training before due dates
  • Minimum education: High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred experience: 6 months in customer service or related fields

Physical & Work Environment 🏢

  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
  • Occasional lifting under 25 lbs and bending, kneeling, or squatting
  • Operate standard office equipment and respond to sounds quickly
  • Work may include weekends, evenings, and holidays
