Job Description
The Teller I works at a TD Store, providing legendary customer experiences through accurate and efficient banking transactions. You will also educate customers on TD’s products and services or refer them to partners for specialized solutions. 🤝
Depth & Scope
- Execute TD's Brand promise with consistent behaviors to deliver a Legendary Customer experience
- Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit payments
- Perform cash handling activities such as check cashing, currency verification, balancing cash drawers, and managing night deposits
- Respond to customer inquiries and escalate issues when necessary
- Manage lobby flow, warmly welcome customers, and guide them appropriately
- Understand and educate customers on banking preferences, including digital self-service options
- Conduct needs-based conversations, recommend financial solutions, or refer to partners
- Make timely decisions and escalate complex issues to management
- Ensure compliance with regulations like the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act
- Verify customer identities according to security policies
- Balance and manage cash drawers, ATMs, and TCRs efficiently
- Follow procedures for safe deposit operations and maintain confidentiality
- Maintain cash limits, secure cash, and safeguard customer information
- Adhere to security, audit, and fraud prevention measures
- Complete required training to stay compliant and knowledgeable
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: 6 months of related experience or equivalent through volunteering, education, or military service
- Ability to work during operating hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Customer service skills and strong organizational abilities
- Detail-oriented and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for clear and concise interactions

- Travel: Occasional domestic; never international
- Work Type: Sedentary, frequent multitasking, continuous use of office equipment
- Standing and walking frequently; occasional lifting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
